José Cabrera is a Vice president at CKD Infraestructura Mexico (CKD IM), a Mexican infrastructure and energy fund with $1.1 billion in AUM. José participates both in the investment and asset management activities and his primary focus is to develop a new infra and energy debt fund. Prior to CKD IM, José worked at Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transport where he oversaw the conceptualization and financial structuring of “Red Compartida”, an innovative $2.2 billion private-owned wholesaler telecom network. Before that José worked for six years at Evercore Partners where he was part of the Public Finance and Infrastructure team. At the end of his stay at Evercore Partners, José was an advisor to Country Head, supervising investment banking and PE activities of the firm in México. José holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from ITAM and a Master in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University with specialization in finance and economics.
