Michael has over twenty years of professional experience assisting organizations with accounting and finance related projects as well as strategy and efficiency optimization.During his twelve years with KPMG Michael has been primarily focused on the energy sector assisting clients with transactions including; carve-outs, acquisitions, public and private offerings (IPO, 144A, Form 10, etc.), separations, and technical accounting matters. Michael has worked extensively on transactions from both the buy and sell sides and has led cross border transactions in the United Kingdom, United States, Bermuda, France, Canada, and South Africa. He specialized in the application of SEC Regulations SX and SK, transaction accounting and financial integration. Michael has provided assistance with the preparation of equity and debt registration, proxy filings, financial integration, MLP analysis and formation as well as technical accounting matters including business combination accounting, consolidation, discontinued operations, impairment analysis, equity method accounting and foreign currency translation.
